APRIL SHOWERS

Photography by Florian Tenk

Emanuel pisses himself.
Budding photographer Florian is interested in what he calls the ‘shapes of shame’, that is, how people handle their bodies, and what they tend to hide or reveal. Tugy had no shame whatsoever undressing in the presence of this thriving Zamioculcas zamiifolia, AKA the ‘ZZ plant’ or ‘fat boy’, which has been deemed indestructible by houseplant enthusiasts, by the way.

Tugy strips down.
According to Florian, normal bodily functions are among the most shameful acts, which is why he asked guys to piss themselves for a series. Emanuel, who studies performing arts, was a bit reluctant to piss his pants at first, but after a cigarette and a few glasses of Chardonnay, he was like, no problem. In fact, pissing himself dramatically improved his confidence on stage.

And while Florian is not necessarily into watersports himself, he is very open minded about sex and would be very willing to join a sex partner if he was into it.

Brokenhearted Ex Can’t Let Go In “This Idea Of Us”

"I'm drowning in this idea of us."
From: NewNowNext
One man faces the tormenting memories of a past relationship in the new short film, “This Idea of Us.”

The film, directed by Geej Ower, sees one man combating (both literally and figuratively) the presence of a former male lover, as he aimlessly drifts through a sparsely-decorated house.

The scenes are set to the haunting melody of Jono McCleery’s song “This Idea Of Us.” As the man staggers about, fighting back ghosts and his own crippling addictions to alcohol and drugs, McCleery’s lyrics softly bleat in the background:

As strong as you seem
You’ve only seen my softer side
You’re falling for me
and I ought to hide
Cos you don’t know me
though you confide in this
idea
of us

The video perfectly captures that particular type of melancholic pain that exists at the intersection of reality and memory in the wake of a breakup. It’s both stark and incredibly moving.

Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress

1953
Donna Reed
as
Alma Burke/Lorene
From Here to Eternity

Donna Reed (born Donna Belle Mullenger; January 27, 1921 – January 14, 1986) was an American film and television actress and producer. Her career spanned more than 40 years, with performances in more than 40 films. She is well known for her role as Mary Hatch Bailey in Frank Capra's 1946 film It's a Wonderful Life. In 1953, she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Lorene Burke in the war drama From Here to Eternity.

Reed is probably most widely known for her work in television, notably as Donna Stone, a middle-class American mother and housewife in the sitcom The Donna Reed Show (1958–66), in which her character was more assertive than most other television mothers of the era. She received numerous Emmy Award nominations for this role and the Golden Globe Award for Best TV Star in 1963. Later in her career, Reed replaced Barbara Bel Geddes as Miss Ellie Ewing in the 1984–85 season of the television melodrama, Dallas; she sued the production company for breach of contract when she was abruptly fired upon Geddes' decision to return to the show.

Alyssa Milano: Wrapped In Red

From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
Actress Alyssa Milano looks hot wrapped in anything, but looks especially hot surrounded all in red. When I was growing up, Milano may not have been the woman of my dreams, but she was the woman on my bedroom walls.  At the time... was just easier.

Milano remains one of Hollywood's hottest actress's, but sadly, hasn't had a part in awhile that brought her the fame and attention she had as a teen star on Who's The Boss.  My suggestion to Milano would be to stop with the network drama's and go back to a well written sit-com.

The last song on the list from Peter Cox and Richard Drummie was their sparkling debut “We Close Our Eyes,” which was a top ten hit across Europe, but like all of their pop gems from the ’80s, it was a chart failure on the Hot 100, peaking at #41 in April 1985.

The 40 Hottest Male Bodies Of 2015!

From: Boy Culture

Tovey branded this selfie #shameless when he posted it a few months ago,
but there is wiggle room for posting stuff more shameless than this.
 Russell Tovey

Russell Toe-vey
Early last year, Tovey made some awkward remarks that suggested he was relieved he hadn't turned out effeminate. In spite of that, he won gay hearts on the second and final season of Looking, and seems content to play up his physical charms on social media on occasion. (Still, you're more likely to see his dog than his nipples on a day-to-day basis.)

He's currently on Broadway in A View from the Bridge and will next pop up in HBO's Looking special and in Night of the Lotus (2016), a British thriller.

Scream, Queens! The Top 40 Horror Films of The 80’s!

From:  The Backlot

Day Of The Dead

Like #5,  The Fog, Day Of The Dead is another follow-up to a classic film that received nothing but scorn upon its release. George Romero hit the jackpot with Night Of The Living Dead, and its sequel Dawn Of The Dead is, in my opinion, the greatest horror film ever made. But this 1985 continuation was not well regarded, to put it mildly. As I’ve mentioned before, I love claustrophobic horror movies, and this fit the bill perfectly, as it took place mostly underground, which is the last place you want to be when the inevitable zombie onslaught begins.

1992

Orlando is a 1992 British film based on Virginia Woolf's novel Orlando: A Biography, starring Tilda Swinton as Orlando, Billy Zane as Marmaduke Bonthrop Shelmerdine, and Quentin Crisp as Queen Elizabeth I. It was directed by Sally Potter.

It was particularly acclaimed for its visual treatment of the settings of Woolf's 1928 novel. Potter chose to film much of the Constantinople portion of the book in the isolated city of Khiva in Uzbekistan, and made use of the forest of carved columns in the city's 18th century Djuma Mosque.

The film premiered at the 49th Venice International Film Festival, in which it entered the main competition. Orlando was re released by Sony Pictures Classics in select theaters starting 6 August 2010.
