An Artistic Alliance: Austin Tacious by Max Woltman

From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things

Artistry is an interesting concept really. Sometimes it is born of spontaneously, from an urge, a compulsion, sheer passion and circumstance. Other times, it is more planned, it is sought after and searched for in sweat, hours of practice and years of hard work and experience. For Albuquerque's Austin Tacious I would say it is all of the above. Austin's artistry certainly stems from a passion, but that passion is one he has worked at, honed and perfected through his music, martial arts, circus skills and desire to create powerful, professional and memorable images.

I first introduced FH readers to Austin last December in the feature Primeval. I was amazed by Austin's ability to weave both wild with sophistication, raw sexuality with style, and powerful intensity with a quiet beauty. All of this was magnificently captured through the lens of photographer Max Woltman.

'My specialty is in showcasing timeless human characteristics such as personality, emotional range, sexuality, and other qualities that won't go out of fashion next season. I believe in revealing something intimate, sacred, vulnerable, and unique about you.'

It is always apparent when both model and photographer have an artistic alliance. When both of their creative processes and goals work together to create images that stand out. I especially love the mannequin shots, and how in the first image at the top, Austin weaves his body with the mannequin which makes them appear as one, causing the viewer to look closely to see where one part starts, and other one ends. Austin makes a wonderful Mr. December in Max's New Mexico Men 2015 calendar which you can preview HERE:

'Max Woltman is my favorite photographer to work with. I have said it before, but I think he very well may be the nicest person in creation. He has a wonderful way of putting his subjects at ease and capturing wonderfully expressive moments.'

'My favorite shot with Max...that is a toss-up between a couple that were posted when you last were kind enough to feature me on your blog. Either one where I am bent over backward on a stool (right) or the shot of me in the shower. (HERE:) The stool shot I enjoy because I find it really interesting to view and I think it is one of my more expressive shots. The shower shot I mentioned because it was my first nude shoot and took a good amount for me to actually do it. It was a big step for me. It meant a lot that it was well received.'

Lady Bunny Joins Internet In Clocking Donald Trump’s Debate Contour

"I had no idea Trump's make-up team watched 'RuPaul's Drag Race.'"
From: NewNowNext
Although Donald Trump’s excessive sniffling almost stole the show at last night’s presidential debate, it was really his makeup job that had the internet talking this morning. (Shockingly, praise of his policies was nowhere to be found.)

The former reality-show host has been known for his orange, self-tanned skin for years, but the internet really had something to say about Donald’s contour from his first debate against Hillary Clinton.

Even Lady Bunny weighed in on The Donald’s beat face.

“I had no idea Trump’s make-up team watched RuPaul’s Drag Race,” said the legendary drag queen. “Too bad he missed the episode on wig styling!”

The next debate is not until October 9, so Trump still has some time to meet with a queen to learn how to perfect his face painting prowess.

“Will & Grace” Gets Political In The Show’s First New Episode In A Decade

Of course Karen sent Rosario to Trump University.
From: NewNowNext
After days of teasing and a decade of dreaming, the cast of Will & Grace finally reunited for a new episode. It’s for a worthy cause too—the 2016 Presidential Election.

Over the weekend Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes all posted pics from the set of the classic NBC sitcom that ran for eight seasons—and to say fans were excited was an understatement.

In the new ten minute mini-episode the gang is back together, but things turn to politics quickly.

Will and Grace are “with her” while Karen reveals that she vacations with Donald Trump and sent Rosario to his university. It’s Jack who is the undecided voter—even though he thinks Election Day is December 1.

How is he swayed to vote for Clinton? Find out in the highly anticipated scene below.

“Modern Family” Casts Its First Openly Transgender Child Actor

The character debuts in this week's episode.
From: NewNowNext
Modern Family just had its season eight premiere, but after all these years the series is still making headlines—this time by casting a transgender child actor.

In this week’s episode Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell’s (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) daughter, Lily invites over her transgender friend Tom for a play date.

Cam and Mitchell are so proud of themselves for raising a loving and accepting child, but of course in classic Modern Family fashion there is a misunderstanding and the couple mistakenly thinks that Lily may not be as open-minded as they thought.

Lily’s new friend, Tom will be played by transgender 8-year-old actor, Jackson Millarker.

The episode, entitled “A Stereotypical Day,” will air this Wednesday at 9/8c on ABC.

Transcript: Pulse Shooter Told Negotiator Why He Attacked Nightclub

“That’s what triggered it, okay?”
From: NewNowNext
The gunman who murdered 49 people at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub in June told police he was retaliating against American attacks against ISIS

”You have to tell the U.S. government to stop bombing,” Omar Mateen told a police negotiator by phone, according to newly released transcripts. “They are killing too many children. They are killing too many women, okay.”

On Friday, officials released transcripts of Mateen’s conversations before his death.

He mentioned one attack by name—a May airstrike that killed Islamic State leader Abu Wahib.

“Yo, the airstrike that killed Abu Wahib a few weeks ago,” Mateen said. “That’s what triggered it, okay?”

Wahib reportedly killed three truck drivers because they were Shiite Muslims, then posted the video of the murders online.

In some instances, Mateen refused to answer questions. Other times it appears he was lying—like his boast he had littered the Pulse parking lot with enough bombs “[to] take out a whole city block.”

Telling the negotiator “My name is Islamic soldier,” and “Call me Mujahideen, Mateen also declared he was observing the holy month of Ramadan.

“I fasted the whole day today. I fasted the whole day and I prayed.”

Authorities have not found any link between Mateen and an organized terror cell.

Mateen’s ex-wife, Sitora Yusufiy, claims he was tormented by his homosexuality and the attack was an attempt to impress his father.

Rosie O’Donnell Claps Back At The “Orange Anus”

Donald Trump just can't let it go.
From: NewNowNext
The feud between Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell has been going on for years, but it seems that Trump just can’t let it go—which was made apparent last night during the first Presidential Debate between him and Hillary Clinton.

“Rosie O’Donnell, I said very tough things to her, and I think everybody would agree that she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her,” Trump said after Clinton referenced his past misogynistic comments— including calling a former Miss Universe winner, “Miss Piggy.”

After Trump brought up O’Donnell, the comedian and former talk show host took to Twitter:

Then her former A League of Their Own co-star, Madonna came to her defense:

So did her former View co-hosts:

Pulse Victims Post Touching “Thank You” Video After Receiving $9 Million In Support

"It restores my faith in humanity."
From: NewNowNext
A handful of survivors from the Pulse Nightclub massacre rally together in an emotional “Thank You” video for the tens of thousands who donated to a GoFundMe campaign designed to help them.

Equality Florida launched the campaign just hours after a gunman opened fire in the crowded nightclub on June 12, killing 49 in what would become the deadliest mass shooting in United States history.

Though details were scarce in the beginning and many wondered where the funds would go and how they would help, Equality Florida managed the campaign flawlessly and raised, to date, over $9 million from tens of thousands of people across the globe.

The organization said in a statement that one hundred percent of all funds raised would be dispersed among families of the victims to cover funeral costs, and survivors to cover their mental and physical health rehabilitation.

“First of all, thank you,” one survivor says in the video below. “Thank you for caring, thank you for acting like decent human beings capable to empathize with the pain that others are feeling.”

“It restores my faith in humanity that all of these people from all of these countries could give a little love,” another adds.

“This goes beyond thank you,” said another. “You were there, you were supporting and sending love, and it kept us moving in the right direction.”

Orlando City Commissioner Patty Sheehan added of the victims: “I think that’s the only thing that’s made it bearable for them is that they know that so many people care.”

To sweeten the deal, GoFundMe launched a separate campaign along with the “Thank You” video, pledging to match donations up to $100,000.

Only One Candidate Looked Presidential At The Debate. It Wasn’t The Orange One.

From: Queerty
For most Americans, tonight’s debate was the most time they’ve ever spent with Donald Trump. With any luck, it filled them with horror.

For sheer unhinged lunacy, Trump was hard to beat. He can’t ever admit that he makes a mistake, so he doubled down on his birtherism lies. He denied saying things he was proven to have said, including about climate change and the Iraq War. He interrupted Clinton 25 times in the first 26 minutes of the debate, often by shouting over her. His answers were recognizable as English, although the words were strung together so haphazardly, you’ll have to take our word for it. He even seemed to acknowledge that he hasn’t paid federal income taxes, which is quite an admission for a presidential candidate.

Perhaps worst of all was the gallery of faces that Trump made while Clinton spoke. It was easy to dismiss the pouts, the snarls, and the eye rolls after a while, but if you watched the debate with the sound off, you’d see someone who looked like a ham actor and someone who looked like, well, a president.

Clinton, by contrast, can prepared for the fight, and she quickly got under Trump’s skin. She also played his game against him, by speculating (without any real knowledge) about why Trump won’t release his tax returns. It was a classic Trump gimmick, but delivered in a much more measured, and logical, way.

As the presidential race tightens, the candidates are really fighting for just a handful of voters. Did Trump do himself any favors? Probably not. He’s too scattered to hammer the same message repeatedly and too enamored of himself not to rise to the bait and start yelling at anyone in his path.

Of course, what will matter is how the media play the results. It would be hard to say with a straight face that Trump scored a tie, but in their unending quest for false equivalency, the media could end up saying just that. Besides, a close race is good for the ratings and readership. Trump isn’t the only one who cares about the bottom line.

Nyle DiMarco Makes His Chippendales Debut

The Vegas show is incorporating American Sign Language translators into every performance for the first time.
From: NewNowNext
Nyle DiMarco’s stint as a celebrity guest host for Las Vegas’ long-running Chippendales show kicked off this past weekend, and it looks like he was the perfect addition to the muscular group.

Fresh off his wins on America’s Next Top Model and Dancing With The Stars, DiMarco performed a routine to “Uptown Funk,” as well as an act with an Empire theme.

Perhaps most exciting for the 27-year-old, however, was that the show had ASL translators on hand for the first time so that deaf fans were able to fully enjoy his performance.

DiMarco is part of the show at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for a four-week limited run ending on October 16, so snatch your tickets now to watch him take it all off in Sin City while you still can.

National Voter Registration Day: How To Get Registered—And Get Informed

It's too important not to.
From: NewNowNext
Tuesday, September 27, is National Voter Registration Day, a non-partisan effort to get Americans registered to vote in the November 8 general election.

NVRD sees thousands of volunteers signing voters up at concerts, sporting events, malls and elsewhere (and, of course, online). You can also find out about voter registration in your state here.

In 2008, some six million Americans didn’t vote because they didn’t register in time or didn’t know how to register.

But this year registering couldn’t be easier—now that you can do it on your phone with Hello.Vote.

Just send HELLO to 384-387 via text or Facebook messenger and answer a few simple questions. (It literally look us 12 seconds.)

Even if you don’t care about the presidential election (which, of course, you should), there are many other important campaigns happening, including 34 U.S. Senate races (24 seats are currently held by Republicans, and 10 are held by Democrats.)

There’s also 12 states with gubernatorial elections, including Missouri, Utah, Indiana and North Carolina. (Nine are held by Democrats, three by Republicans).

And that’s not counting races for lieutenant governor, attorney general, city council, judicial seats and more, and various amendments on local ballots.

Of course, registering (and getting to the voting booth) is just the first part—you’ve got to be an informed voter, too.

Find out what races are in your district and where the candidates stand on the issues.
